Hi,
I'm sorry for bringing up a subject that has been discussed many times, it's just that the search function has given me slightly conflicting information.
I'm wishing to locate the body number of my pickup.
I know that it is present on a stamped tag above the petrol pump/battery tray, but I understand it should also be stamped somewhere into the metalwork too.
I have read conflicting things about it being somewhere near the accelerator cable exit under the engine bay. (possibly not stamped there for lcv's)
And also stamped somewhere under the drivers seat. But exactly where under the seat ?
Many Thanks !
Paul.

No, I'm afraid I didn't find it.
Re: Pick Up Body Number Location
The body number on my lcv is on a small rectangular plate welded to the l/h engine bay floor at the front.

Re: Pick Up Body Number Location
Cab numbers = LCVs, as early GPO vans also had numbered BODIES!
So, knowing which number is on what determines whether a GPO van
has received a cab /body swop.
Does that make sense?

Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
