runs well brakes are good and never been welded - interior is fantastic. needs the horn and indicators(ADD ONS ) to be looked at then in for a road worthy
Wow, and the sidevalve engine, is he still in the car?
And a question: in my 51 MM, not in the condition of yours, are 2 holes in the front bumper, can you make a picture from your car from the same side, or can you tell if your 51 mm has the same holes?[frame][/frame]

when i get the car i will take photos for you, And yep the sidevalve still in the car - nearly an original car - but has twin carbs - think i will change it back tho
Can you take some photos of the twin carbs, are they the Monaro setup?

Thanks, Andrew. I'd still be interested to buy the bits if you decide to go back to original. The postage should be OK because I have the carbs already and you'll need at least one of them back for your own car.
I see that you are running a DM2 dizzy with vacuum advance instead of the original DKYH4A dizzy without vacuum advance, I wonder if it makes any difference?
The exhaust system should be a great improvement over the original. Has any internal work been done to the engine?

Well my motoring did not last for long, car has been off the road for a few weeks now, Car was over heating. so i stopped using it , went to a local car show looked at other minors - My had no radiator fan . so found the right fan took out radiator fitted fan got new hoses and thought i would do the thermostat too - but one of the bolt on the thermo housing had no threar so could not re tighten it up. got another bolt problem fixed - fitted every thing and then the water poured out the bottom alu housing . so off comes hose again to notice that the hole bottom side of it was corroded away, so bought a new one and went to get the old one off and one of the bolts SNAPPED . and that where i am at the moment a broken bolt sticking out of my sidevalve engine seized solid Oh yeah the reason someone got rid of the fan = they had the wrong fan belt - it was too big
there's a few methods to remove the remaining piece of broken bolt.
One that I've used many times without failing is to get a nut (with bigger diameter than the broken stud / bolt) and MIG weld the end of the stud via the inside of the nut to join them together.
The heat cycle helps to free the thread and the nut is used to unscrew it straight out.
if it doesn't weld together firmly, the nut will break off, but that gives you access to do it again.
I've done this on head studs and manifold studs, thermostat housing studs etc.. but for doing this on any part of the engine, you need to take great care to keep the crud and weld spatter out of the engine!

Well i ended up paying a guy to come out to the house and remove the bolt for me and he charged $100 (£65) for him to drill it out n re thread the block for me and am now motoring again did 70 miles today - and took the car to the british chip shop here

I did a BIG 240mile Drive a few weeks ago, and the little car was fantastic.
Cruised at 50-60 mph and the car was just so happy at this speed.
With the twin Carbs it took many smaller hills in 4th, with steeper ones in 3rd,
and I think I only hit one 2nd gear hill. We went to Toowoomba (up to the top of the Mt range).
