Oil Type

Post by Boardy »

Can anyone tell me the oil type for a 1971 Morris traveller (unleaded conversion if this makes a difference)? A quick search brings up 20/50 mineral oil, supermarket brand is ok (no need for expensive oils).

Sorry if the question seems silly but this type of motoring is new to me.

Cheers,

Chris.

Basic 20/50 oil is fine.
Most supermarkets sell decent enough oil as do Halfords. :D

Thanks for the replies, they are much appreciated. As my Moggy is in the throes of being "done up" I will no doubt have more bone questions to ask.

Regards,

Chris.

Wilko has a perfectly good 20W50 at fair cost. Make SURE the pressure plate and spring are present and correct under the new filter you will be fitting.......
