Albie the traveller

Post by Kinsley96 »

I will be picking up from my project thread on the Morris minor owners site on here the Morris minor owners forum.

At the moment I'm treating the chassis by bringing back to metal, rust remover gel treatment to neutralise any hidden rust, etch primer and primer.

Will update, with some new photos shortly.

I'm olly by the way :D

as you see in the images, my traveller has no floor at the rear, problem.
solution was the rear half of a spitscreen that cost me £20.

before i can weld this in, I need to weld a replacement rear chassis leg. which this week has involved me removing the rear axle and suspension which was difficult. so till I can find a full day to do welding and get a good job done in one go im going to restore the axle and suspension.

lastly I had a quick look at the front chassis legs. I knew they were solid but today I took a patch away to see internally and it looks rather rusty, I think this isn't a problem just needs treating and protecting. your thoughts?
