Black Morris Minor MGF wheels

Post by stuart3925 »

A few months ago I was looking on a web site ( I can't rember which one it might have been on here) and saw a picture of a Black Morris Minor with the MGF square spoke alloy Wheels and it may have been a 4 door. Does any one here know where i might see this picture as it looked impresive.

Marina axle and front hubs - and the MGF wheels go straight on with the correct wheel nuts of course. That's a great looking car - but perhaps sitting a little high? I wonder if these are the later 16" MGF wheels?

I totaly agree I think this in my mind the nicest minor I have seen although I would like to see it site slightly lower. I have got the marina front hubs and a dolomite sprint back axle I have started to fit 288mm front disks and will need some large diamiter rims so looking at the MGF range. my car is a 4 Door in british racing green so what would you recomend?

That car looks perfect to me, but then i would say that!

Couldn't really lower it too much without worrying about catching arches as it had tall tyres on it. I did have 15" instead of 16" on the front, that made it sit lower at the front, was a better set up that way, butthen the wheels were drawfed in the flared arches, but too wide for standard arches, a right conundrum!

It is pretty mind!

I really like what you have done and would mine to look as good as yours but without copying your style which will be difficult but hopefully i will end up with a nice minor at the end of the day.

To be honest, there is nothing out of the ordinary about the car, no one off pieces. Rear wings are JLH 2" wider ones, front's are JLH flared arches.
Other than that, it's just a nice shiny paint job (although your comments are nice to hear 18 months after selling the car).
Must admit, i've not been able to replicate the feeling i had with the car. His name was Impy, he was an impulse buy, completely standard when i bought him, not so much once finished!

Roy, i have just this week sold the Mini. Having recently got married, living next door to work (no exageration!), it made no sense to own a car thwt wasn't getting used and thus getting rusty!
So at 26, looking forward to having a child in the nearish future, decided it is time to buy a campervan! Although any sort of VW is out of the question, some sort of Bedford or Sherpa is most probably within budget.
with the cash in my hand, i can't help but find myself drawn towards a tidy 2 door moggy though!! Curse the Morris and it's curves.
