940 big valve head with standard cam

Hi Chaps,

does anyone have any experience of using a 1275cc engine with the big vale 940 head but still running on the standard cam?

I'll be running through an LCB exhaust and using a HIF44 carb breathing through a K&N type air filter.

Also, I know it's been stated before in other post, but can can anyone let me know the valve clearances used for running the leaded head on unleaded fuel.

It will be fine - the extra large valves will let in more air - but of course an MG Metro cam will be better! 15 thou exhausts and 12 thou inlets -or make them all 15 if you like...
