Easy pictures

Post by 57traveller »

My image host has decided to change the URL's for pictures. They've changed from being fairly short and easy to type out fully between the "Img." Now they have become ridiculously long and, although it's possible to type out fully, mistakes can be easily made.
Is it possible to transfer the URL from the picture properties where it appears by using a method that avoids typing out the whole thing? "Copy" and "paste" spring to mind but if that's the way then how is it done? Remember you are dealing with a total "technophobe." So simple "idiot proof" instructions would be appreciated.

Right, what I do is to right click on the image when it's on the screen, then go to properties. it then lists the URL. move the mouse over it and select it by dragging the mouse pointer over it while holding the left mouse button. Then hold down the Ctrl key and press the c key (for copy). Then click on the messageboard where you want to insert the text and again hold down the Ctrl key, but press the v key. This will paste the copied URL. Just put the img bits around it and you're done.

the easy way is to right click the photo and select properties
then you get the URL > http........jpg <
sometimes there are bits after the .jpg but just ignore them and copy and paste everything from the http, up to and including the .jpg
Then paste that URL inbetween the "IMG" bits

Thanks to Cam & Ray for the guide. Tried them both with success. If you right click on my test image in the towbar section of "wanted" the properties will reveal my reason for the answer re the URL!
