Re: Draining fiesta petrol tank
if it was a minor i'd say disconnect the fuel hose and turn the ignition on, let the pump do the work. Not sure how feasible that is with a 'modern'. Disconnect hose from fuel rail? Cut pipe where it leaves the tank?
If it's going to be scrapped... stab a hole in the tank?

Looks like a bit of pipe and a spare moggie pump beware of sparks causing ignition 2nd degree burns are more expensive than 30ltr of fuel

If you pierce the tank how are you going to drive it to the scrapyard - the good old siphon should work.

My wife had the same problem with her Focus. Not expecting it to fail its MOT, she filled the tank. I tried syphoning but there is a trap in the filler pipe.

I have got hold of a siphon and will be emptying it in the next few days.Luckily there isn`t a trap in the pipe!
Re: Draining fiesta petrol tank
On the earlier model it was a mechanical fuel pump, so I cut the pipe and cranked....
