I've searched the threads but...

Post by mickeytwonames »

I can't find out about what colours Morris used - my 56'splittie is a dark grey - was there a name for this?and /or is there an ICI colour code. Lastly, does anyone have experience of hand painting? My Morris is a 'molecatchers workhorse' (I work in pest control) so I'm after effective rust proofing and body protection rather than a concourse finish.

Hi,
Check out the 'Bull Motif ' site online. Click on 'model history', then on the 'colour codes' option below. Then you simply click on the model that applies to you, series 2 probably, the years are listed by the colours. See link below:
Best wishes,
Mike.

Does anyone know if there is a military paint that closely matches Clarendon grey?

Or just click on the 'paint codes & bodywork /trim colours' sticky in the bodywork forum: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=44524
