Have replaced rear brake pipes, shoes etc. Although the brakes work well I can't get the pedal much above halfway and brakes are not spongy. When pumping the pedal during bleeding there was a squirt that came up through the top up hole every time the pedal was depressed.
I haven't seen this on other Minors and wonder if this is a contributory cause? Any ideas? Thanks, John

Re: Brake pedal
The squirt is fine. For rear brakes - you must slacken back the cables at the lever - then tighten the shoes with the snails - and only then - pull the cables up to put the lever where you want it.
