I was following your woe on the otherside and I'm really sorry to hear that. Gutted for you but there'll always be another event.motherofgod wrote: not coming now (buggered engine)

I'll be there and just might have the Minor done in time - if not the old Merc.

Be there on Saturday, but not in the Minor I'm afraid as I have to be back for another event on the Sunday and it just isn't fast enough

Re: whos going to the national
I am coming over from Ireland ( not in a Minor though ) and I see there is a M6 toll road that by-passes Birmingham is this a good alternative to the old M6 eg less traffic conjestion etc
Re: whos going to the national
Not half, I've always found that one can maintain a steady (er um) 70 mph with no problem all the way round. Yes it costs, but then what price time and no stress (not to mention petrol in stop-start traffic)is this a good alternative to the old M6 eg less traffic conjestion

Great thanks havn't been around that area for a long time since moving to ireland. Last time I was on the M6 15 or 16 years ago was going back to Ireland after a holiday, came up to standing traffic slowing down in middle lane in a Volvo 740 estate with 7 seats rear two facing rear-wards with two youngest in back, when looked in rear view mirror to see artic bearing down from behind didn't look like he was going to stop, saw a space in lane next to me slipped into it ,not sure if he would have hit me or not but gave me one hell of a fright, luckily rear facing kids were asleep so no nightmare's for them

Just a note for those of you planning on using a sat nav rather than a map to get there, the postcode for Kelmarsh Hall is NN6 9LY but sat nav users should enter NN6 9LX
