Careful.....Don't knock ABBA!
My 1956 Series 11 Traveller! Bought when I was 17 (1985)....sold 6 years (1991) later......bought back 9 years after that! (2000) With 6 different owners in the middle, what a lucky boy I am!

Re: VW weekend
Of course the question is, is it worth driving a VW just for a good weekend away? My missus had one once, when the phrase "if only everything in life was as reliable as a volkswagen" was de riguer, how we laughed every time she rang me when she broke down with ever alarming frequency, usually in the winter, if the panzers were that quality of build no wonder they lost the flippin war

How about a new VW Up! ?
Re: VW weekend
You'd be surprised how many 'youngsters' drive Minors... we're going to have quite a large presence at this year's national rally.

BIG BROTHER IS WHATCHING
I write a post as to what i feel is wrong with the image of minors an make suggestions as to how we could pimp it up a bit and it seems to have been removed.
Do you think they can't handle the truth.

Re: VW weekend
May be a bit much for the older generation though I bet quite a few pace makers would be working double time!irmscher wrote:I think pole dancers would be a good idea they had them at a Bug jam years ago

Re: VW weekend
well, we might speculate that some of us youngsters do that already hehelowride stepside wrote:So what happens a thirty ,do they put on the tweed and walk round the shows saying things like mmmmm thats not original and I realy don't think you wanted to do that (LIKE THE HARRY ENFIELD CHARECTER)ASL642 wrote:Morris Minor "Youngsters" are usually about 16 - 30!
as young owners, we are working hard to embrace the past and current club atmosphere and ethos, and look forward to preserving these cars and the minor community for the future. we are merely custodians for these cars, and must work together to ensure they have a good future ahead of them...
