Hello, I think I may have a common fault - the anchorage point inside the chassis leg for the return spring looks to have rusted away completely.
Please can someone help me to work out where to weld in something new?
Thanks very much

Re: Brake pedal return spring
Should be about 1/2" (1 cm) further along than the unstretched spring.

Re: Brake pedal return spring
why not try ac self tapping screw in the chassis
Re: Brake pedal return spring
Alternatively make a suitable bracket with small hole one end (for spring attachment) and a 6mm hole the other, drill a 6mm hole in the chassis leg, and bolt the assembly together, preferably with two washers and nyloc nut. Trying to weld in a possibly rusty box section is not too easy. You may see evidence of the position left by the original fitting.
