stiff gears

Post by Thehussy »

The Hussy has now decided that she doesn't want to change into second and fourth gear without serious effort. Have checked the oil and that's fine. It first happened when stopping after going down a steep hill - anyone any ideas????

Does this apply when you are sitting with the engine switched off?

I think you will need to strip the remote control for inspection - but check the gearlever first......

"won't go into second" ...or..." won't come out of first"?

It's the remote extension on top of the gearbox.......lift the floor to find it.

take the rubber cover off and check the three nuts that hold the gear lever in may have just become slack.
