Temp gauge wiring

Post by moggiethouable »

Does any one have a picture of just where they wired their electrical temp gauge to?
I know I should have fitted the other type, but its too late now.
I have the sensor in,I have the cable from the sensor fitted to the gauge, the gauge along with an oil pressure gauge fitted discretely under the dash, and have tried just about every cable there is behind the speedo,I dont have a light green cable, I have lots of green cables, 2 of which come from/to the fuel tank sender.
I tried the straight cable to the fuel gauge and solved the fuel crisis, it read full all the time
A photo would be flippin marvelous, thanks.

It goes on the voltage regulated feed to the fuel gauge (not sender) - see wiring diagram at the top of this section.

Which from memory only leaves me one cable untried.
I need to do a couple of other small jobs first, but thanks for that.

If you still have this problem, this is the terminal It needs to be connected to, If it is a smiths gauge like mine[frame]Image[/frame] There should be a spare terminal anyway, but the other green wire on that terminal goes down the back of the speedo to the fuel gauge.
