I'm installing an HIF 44 carb onto a metro inlet manifold at the moment (ital engine) and I've run into a couple of problems.
The minor throttle cable isn't long enough to reach. I had some bicycle brake cable that would have done the job but I need some kind of Ferrule to locate it in the slot on the base plate. Would a metro throttle cable do the trick or is there something else I could use?
The other problem is that there is no cable locating/ attaching screw on the throttle lever on my carb. Does anyone know if it is possible to buy these separately??
Many thanks
Tom

Re: HIF44 question
Just buy a longer cable at any acc shop. Can you not adapt the cable grip from the old carb?

Re: HIF44 question
Buy an Ital throttle cable -this comes with the moulded plastic fitting to locate the throttle cable to the carb
