Carb AUD 9203

Post by alanlad »

Hi
I've a SU Carb marked AUD 9203 which looks bigger then my standard carb on my 1969 Minor.

Is the AUD 9203 better then then standard carb that is fitted at present.

What I would like is a bit more power on hills as we are in one of the highest villages in Lancashire but apart from that I'm happy at present.

Words of wisdom please

Its a standard 1098 1 1/4" SU. Should be the same as fitted to yours unless you have the wrong one fitted currently...

Excellent - just get a Mini manifold - or spend ages grinding out the hole in yours till it matches the carb...........

AUD 9203 is the part no. for the float chamber lid, not the carb

As long as the manifold has the larger 1.5" hole?? An alloy manifold will be very much better.....

Hi
Thanks for that info, I had just worked out that the number was for the float .
The manifold is 1.5 inch and the studs are at 2 & 8 the same as my new carb . The standard Morris studs are at 12 & 6 for fixing the carb to the manifold so this is not a Morris Carb, any ideas what it is?

Thanks Alan
