Changing the Seats

Post by ssim33on »

Hi can anyone recommend a set of replacement seats that:-
have a head rest
that will fit relativity easily
dont cost the earth to buy
and finally will match the interior colour (smoke grey)

So fair the closest i have got is a set of Alfa Romeo 156 light grey seats

any help would be much appreciated
Cheers

Hi,
Bull Motif; Morris Minor Spares Birmingham (David Manners); ESM............
They all do them, see their websites but cheap they are not.............. :o
If you can live without the head rests I found that extra foam and some square cushion inserts (2 pillow inserts for the back seat base) will make them more supportive and comfortable. Having experimented (adding and removing) when I was recovering my seats, I am quite satisfied with the result and the interior seating looks standard (except maybe plumper...). :D
I also renewed the webbing straps where necessary which helped.
Best wishes,
Mike.

1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......

Fit alfa 156 seats! Not too hard aslong as you can fabricate some simple bits, and very comfy, and a perfect fit width wise, inc arm-rest.

if the alfa seats are cheap I would not worry about matching the seats to your current interior, buy fabric matching your new seats, making new side panels is straight forward, if you cannot get the alfa rear seat, covering the rears seats is slightly more difficult but still straight forward.
