recalibrate a speedo

just found another problem went for a spin on by-pass!!! now the speedo wont pass the 20mph it works well up to that reading now whats wrong with the bloody thing

Was the car only doing 20 mph......? Was the odometer still clicking round ok? Probably just a sticking needle..... But of course could be the drive from the gearbox is slipping.

i was doing well over 20mph, and the odometer was working ok? how do i fix a sticking needle? will check drive in gearbox if i know needle is free

Surely if the odometer works the cable must be fine?

Since it seems to be wildly inaccurate anyway, I would just look for one with a more appropriate tpm.......
