Did the Morris Minor series 2, 1953 years model have seat in real leather only or were there also seats made of pegamoid? Which material were most common?

It would depend on the spec of your car, if it was deluxe it would have had leather facings to the seats but a standard spec would have had rexine/vinyl seats.

1953 Series 2 seats were the same as the later Series MM seats with horizontal pleats and were covered in vynide. Nothing to stop you re-covering them in leather.

My own 1956 S.II has seats made part of leather (the cushions and backrests) and the rest some rexine material.
The front seats are supported by Dunlopillo and the rear is properly sprung.

The late Series 2s have different seats to the early models.
