Hi,
In principle the cache line colour is the same colour of the seats!
But anyway will be others with more corriculum to advise you about this matter.

Yes I agree, the coachline is generally the same colour as the interior. The only time this doesn't work is when the interior is the same colour as the exterior!

The coach line on a teal blue traveller should be lime flower.

Didn't spot that you had a 2 door but Teal blue was only used on travellers from June 1970 onwards - it was never used on saloons. If your 1967 saloon is definately that colour then it has had a respray at some point. Are you sure that it isn't trafalgar blue instead? What colour is the interior? Is it light blue? The coach line on a trafalgar blue saloon should be pearl grey.

I can confirm it is teal blue, having looked at the history and documents ?????????? i have.I do know it has been painted at sometime in the past,it is easy to see,you have me confused though,i already have the paint for it as i am going to paint her when i get the oil leak sorted and the clutch adjusted. The interior colour looks original to me,and as i said looking at the history i have it clearly states (Teal blue).I sincerely appreciate your opinion though,I now need to know whether teal blue was used on a 1967 2 door saloon.....Please everyone and you Louise, try and find out for me,i like cars to be original, however i have 6 litres of cellulose (teal blue) The seats are light blue

Teal blue is quite similar to trafalgar blue - what documents do you have which state it is teal blue? If you post up a photo it would be a help :)

Follow these instructions :)

How to upload a photo:

When posting a message you'll see an 'upload picture' box at the bottom left of the text box.
Click on the 'browse' button and find the photo on your pc that you wish to upload.
Click the 'preview' button to check that your photo has uploaded.
Press 'submit' and hopefully we'll all be able to see your photo

To upload more than one photo at a time just follow the above procedure and click on the 'preview' button every time you wish to upload a new photo then 'submit' when all the photos are loaded.

The forum automatically resizes photos to a maximum of 640 x 480 but if your photo will still not load (or you just get a blank screen) it is probably because it is too big so try reducing the size of your photos on your pc before posting.

Louise has answered your questions correctly. Teal Blue was only used on Travellers and the interior was Limeflower.

Just a thought ,did morris company have any special orders? or as rover did on the P6 use non standard colours for pre change over models? or have the dealer or the old pre dvlc co*ked it up? e.g. I had a Z4 which BMW called steel grey and dvlc said silver!!!

Sorry, but that looks like a very nicely polished Trafalgar Blue to me.

P.s. There is a Teal Blue Traveller for sale on Ebay at the moment (Worthing, £1,900.00) You will see it is quite a lot "brighter" than yours and has the original limeflower interior (pale yellow/green)

MG teal blue is not the same as Morris Minor teal blue - they have different paint codes - so comparing the colour of an MG to a Minor isn't going to give a good comparison. Looking at your photos it definately looks like trafalgar blue to me.

It is not trafalgar blue, that i can say.It has me me beaten now ,anyway i have teal blue mixed from a bmc paint code,i think its 018.The guy i buy all my paint from goes to all the classic car shows, and so he knows his stuff very well.I will be putting up pics as i go along the process of getting my car eventually painted. As a matter of interest, the guy i bought my car from 3 weeks ago gave me a touch up bottle of paint,in teal blue!!!!!!!!!! This is the first moggy i have owned since 1974,back then there was lots of moggys around, but this time i am wanting to do her up,she is solid as a rock both topside and underneath, however she does need painting now.I do have to thank you all for your help and support, and i sincerely mean that.I will submit pics as i go along the process, and she will be painted in TEAL BLUE (lol)
Sincere thanks
Pete
