Windscreen washer and radio ariel

Post by hornmeister2000 »

Hi all,

I've got 2 problems which I could do with some advice on. Firstly, Naomi's screen washers seem to be broken. Nothing comes out, but there is water in them. Also, I've broken the radio ariel. It was one that I just clip on the window. Anyone know where I can get a new one?

Thanks in advance,

Neil

I've found that if you lift the water hose up from the bottom of the water bottle so it's held in the middle of the bottle, that can cure and problems with water not rising up to the pump. Either that or your pump is bust.

If your washer system is the standard hand pumped type then
the usual fault is that the non return valve in the water bottle
has failed, usually because of some foreign body stuck in it.

Neil I suppose you have checked that the nozzles are not blocked (blow though the pipes) and that the pipes dont have a split in them either ?

Yes, I've checked that. Actually I'm going away for a couple of weeks so I'll check all these other things when I get back. Thanks for the help!
