Carb refurbish
Ive just stripped and refurbished my H2 carb. Only problem is, its chucking out petrol from the float bowl lid where the two breathing notches are. Is there anyone in the club or outside it that can do the refurb again. Ive done everything else right, just the float bowl leak is getting on my nerves now. Ive adjusted the fork inside and cant seem to find a fine line between it pouring out, when the ignition is on, and not getting enough fuel in the bowl. AAAARRRRGGHHH

Re: Carb refurbish
Did you fit a new float valve ? Don't worry if the level is a bit low - it will still run. Was it working ok before you 'fixed' it ??

Re: Carb refurbish
You only ever need refurb an SU carb if the car is running rich even with the mixture nut screwed all the way up. Otherwise, leave well alone! The SU is a very reliable and long lasting carburettor.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

Re: Carb refurbish
Exactly - why/how did you 'refurb' the carb...... If it's not broken - don't fix it!!
