By the way, I'm not a baggage handler at Thiefrow!
I was not accusing you of that profession, metal collector perhaps.
Proabably right about Telephone Engineers I dont know if such a thing exists any longer :(

I hve found in the past that some of that anti-mist fluid applied from time to time to a clean windscreen interior helps no end

windscreen demisting

Post by wanderinstar »

I have fitted a mini heater, moved air inlet to behind radiator and fitted higher temp t/stat. Lot better. but when refitting front screen I noticed, same as Mr Pickup Oct 13, that screen demisters could do with moving forward. My next job.

Back to original query, Mike Lennon at Morris Minor Centre (Birmingham) now has modern heated front screen to fit Minor. I think about £130 + VAT and switches, but I'm hoping to go and see one shortly. Certainly sounds very interesting bearing in mind how effective the heated rear screens are.

modified heater

Post by vanboy »

as luck would have it,after having removed a standard looking heater from a late minor that i broke found that the heater had(this might be a swear word on hear)a FORD motor in it and a mordern matrix + 3 speed fan controller which is now in the van.what a differance,it actully blows through the vents,i keep switching the fan to three just to feel the blow, sad but nice

(this might be a swear word on here) a FORD motor
If you are going to upgrade the car, you're going to end up with modern bits. I'm not sure what you have against Ford suppliers but generally they are the same people who supply all the other European car companies ;-)

And you are a very lucky boy to find something like that! Many people end up paying a small fortune to specialists to get their upgraded heater kits..
