myrtle passed mot
going to stir up a debate , i have got a years ticket so i am a happy bunny ,i also have a new engine and clutch . i have done 130 miles today, for the first 40 miles i did not go over 45 ,then increaced to 50 then to 55. i have been up a few hills ive not raced the engine just varied the speeds up and down .i am going to use the car to go to work for the rest of the week, and on monday go on a 200 mile trip to yorkshire for my holiday. i am going to take some oil and a filter and get it changed when ive done 500 miles.the engine had done a heat cycle and the head was torqued down .as long as i dont thrash it i should be ok ,over to you roy for your guidence .

Sounds good to me ! Just check the clutch adjustment maintains a bit of free play. Good luck. And be sure to have a run on the North Yorks Moor railway.........

Well done with the MOT and good luck with the trip.
Hope the rain stays away for you. Damn awful weather we are having in this drought!

Ha that's great!
I've just bought a 1969 2 door in Almond Green and the young members group christened her Myrtle before I even picked her up!
Bought her as a restoration project. Took her for an MOT the other day and let's just say she delighted me
A couple of days fiddling and she'll be going back for her retest on Saturday
