MOT Failure

Hi all,
My '71 traveller has just failed it's mot quite badly so it looks like i'm going to be in for a load of welding. The first problem is the front nearside chassis leg particularly where the lower wishbone bolts through. Obviously all of the suspension and torsion bar will have to be removed. Then the old leg cut off and a new one welded on. Am I going to have any alignment issues when the old leg is removed, and are there any key issues that I should look out for?
The other main issue(s) is the area between the spring hanger and the outer cill (both sides). On the outer edges and spreading some 3"- 4" towards the hanger it has plates welded (badly) on it and the curved part that becomes the rear wheel arch is coated with fiber glass. My problem is that I can,t see what will need replacing. Is it floor, cill or likely to be both. The Bull Motif site also show a boxing panel. I guess my question is what panels would I need to repair and strengthen this area.

At the front - alignment will be ultra important. Probably best to strip out both sides - then you can use a snug fitting steel (or possibly wood) bar pushed through the two eye bolt holes to align the new one perfectly with the undisturbed one. At the rear you will need to strip out the rear seat etc and the screw-on protection plate on the timber underside -and then inspect what needs doing. The big problem may be that the timber will be in the way and may have to be taken off to get at the metal parts.

I think the best advice I can give is, In your area are there any local members who can advise you or point you in the direction of a garage who could take a look and advise whats needed then?
If not can you post any pictures of the affected areas? I am sure members can then take a look and offer their opinions.
