When I saw the title of the thread and saw "Classic Modified Moggy - New colours" I thought "here we go, it's going to look horrible as many modded cars do....."

but, but

I actually really like the paint scheme and the graphics and how the car looks.
Colour scheme is nice and I even like the style of the alloy wheels! Nicely period...

Great job! :D :)
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

I first read that as 'purist'

Can you tell us more about the vehicle? What's it running?

These classic modifieds all run Ford Essex V6 motors and steel wheels. Those banded rostyles look spot on!

Here are a few shots taken off my facebook page, I have better ones but they are on my old pc and im not near that at the min.

I loved it in green, but two seasons of racing, and a few engine swaps took its toll and she was looking tired[frame]Image[/frame]

As for some details Twincamman is right, we have to run Ford V6, 2 valve per cylinder engines, no porting allowed, only allowed the webber 38dgas carb, diffs are welded, and we must all run the same size 13" slicks, which at £8 each from Formula Renault are very very cheap :D

I started with mine trying to fit it with escort running gear, but the shell was pretty much gone in the floor and chassis so we came up with the idea of using the Reliant scimiter chassis. They have the added bonus of coming with a four link rear suspension, an almost indestructable back axle, coil overs and disc brakes up front, and the all important Essex V6. I had to shorted the chassis by 13 inches to make the wheelbase right.

Thank you all for the kind comments :D
