Rear hub bearing picture?
Just replaced rear hub seal,so far so good, drifted new seal in till it left no gap when viewed from the back. What I'm wondering is: should the bearing fit flush with the hub,or do I need to drive it further in til it touches the seal (I've got a feeling it does) I've managed to get the bearing flush with a block of wood a hammer and hit & turn method. Not sure how to drive it any further on the outer race,a tin of beans is a great fit,but the cans keep denting. Can I put a bar, covered in rubber, against the outer and Tap & turn,or will the bearing not take this abuse?

Yes - you should tap it down till it meets a shoulder all the way round. Brass bar is the normal bearing 'drift'.
