Re: what is the moris minor sparking plug gap
Sandun,
It depends on the hacksaw blade. The larger 31.5cm blades are 0.65mm thick and should do fine in case you have no access to a feeler gauge. The smaller blades are only 0.4mm thick.

i think gap is .024 to 026 in - .61mm to .66 mm so , if hacksaw blade .65mm ,what happen ?

Use the centre part of a used blade that has some wear on it, and you'll be good to go.

Re: what is the moris minor sparking plug gap
You need to get yourself a feeler gauge as what are you going to do when you have to adjust the contact points or tappets. Never thought of using a hack saw blade !!

Re: what is the moris minor sparking plug gap
Hi when desperate in the old days (who said they were great ?) used fag packets and matchboxes to set the plugs at the roadside

Cheers Alex

Re: what is the moris minor sparking plug gap
The gap is not exactly critical - as long as it exists. And yes - a hacksaw blade certainly used to be 25 thou thick - it's probably gone to the ghastly metric mess now though..........

But it made a hell of a lot of difference to the smooth running of my 803 when I closed them to the correct gap.The gap is not exactly critical
Re: what is the moris minor sparking plug gap
It will -if you have a low compression engine - and wide gaps, and possibly a weakish ignition circuit...........

Re: what is the moris minor sparking plug gap
How to gaping plugs of MM1000 -what are the tools ? and what is the correct gap ? Mr. Roy you say .025 gap same to hacksaw blade - so .025 in gap wrong ? the gap must lower than 0.25 ?
Re: what is the moris minor sparking plug gap
It IS 25 thou - go for it! Just very gently tap the hook electrode down till the gap is correct. If it's too small - gently lever the hook open with a small screwdriver. Do not ever touch the centre electrode with any tool!
