Thanks for that, things certainly have moved on, I've not seen that vacuum system before. Clogging does seem a problem dry unlike water and soap but with suction no doubt ok, especially if accepted in the trade. Not sure I can justify all that kit but glad to have the info.

The starter kit is about £30 with hose, vacuum block and a box of perforated abranet abrasive sheets.
Yes, the sheets are more expensive than plain sand paper but as they do not clog they last a lot longer and no dust!!!
I use an old Dyson not the Abranet vacuum pictured.
