HELP no reverse gear

Gears 1 to 4 fine no problem but when reversing it jumps out even if I hold it in it forces my hand out.
I cant get it up the drive its that bad I've checked the gear oil and its fine I really havent got a clue can anyone help me please .

Sudden development - or just a problem steadily getting worse? Sadly I suspect there is no easy fix - another box is probably going to be the answer.

my drive has a slope upto the garage and has always popped out but managaed without issue but it seems to have stopped working instantly so very strange.

The jumping out of gear was the warning. No more warnings - gearbox repair
