sump removal
hi all , is it possible to remove the sump on the minor without taking the engine out

Re: sump removal
Yes. However, unless you are very careful with the replacement gaskets, you are likely to induce leaks. Why do you need to remove the sump?
Re: sump removal
10 minute job - and as above - be sure to fit the gaskets and particularly the end (cork) seals correctly.

Re: sump removal
hi , thanks for the info . I will in the months to come be taking off the head to do the valves and was thinking of re-ringing it at the same time as the wee car suffers from lack of power and after doing just about everything you guys have told me to do it only leaves the strip down
Re: sump removal
Engine out if you are doing rings. Block will probably need machining anyway, crank grinding etc....

Re: sump removal
You can easily pop the pistons upwards and fit new rings.... No need for engine out IF that's all you are doing....
