Fuel gauge

Post by gjauto »

Hello everyone.

The fuel gauge on my morris minor 1968 have a problem, every time i filled up tank it only read 1/3 and 1/4, never read full tank.
I changed the fuel sender for new but still the same, I changed fuel gauge, still the same.
Could be the Stabilizer, voltage?

It never used to be like that.

Could anyone help please?

With a full tank, try connecting the fuel gauge to the input (12V) side of the v/s. If you still do not get a full reading then the gauge will be faulty

What year did they start using the voltage stabilizer? Our '61 doesn't have one.

Hey everyone

the problem was the Voltage Stabilizer. I bought mini stabilizer it don't fit on morris minor speedo but removed board from the cover and I used my morris minor stabilizer cover fit with out any problem. now fuel gauge is working fine.

thanks everyone![frame]Image[/frame]
