I saw this bit of kit on ebay and thought it was a good idea. One for constant live and one for ignition live. It would give everything on separate circuits

I'm not convinced. If you are completely rewiring your car, and can modify your loom layout appropriately, I can see the value of having more fuses. If you've got to start hacking and joining wires, I think you could cause more problems than you'll solve.
Do you really blow fuses often enough that it's worth paying a significant premium to know when you have? Can you not just guess that if, say, the heater blower stops working, it could be the heater blower fuse that's blown?
Don't forget that this box is almost certainly designed for negative earth systems only.
I'd just buy a cheapo box from Autosparks, Vehicle Wiring Products, AES, or somewhere like that. Most don't have a common bus like this one does, but it does mean you have more flexibility to divide a single multiway box as you wish. Or splash out on a repro period Lucas fusebox for a better appearance.
