Boot catch panel and rear chassis leg

Hello, I wonder if anyone can give me a clear photo of how the boot catch panel attaches to the rear boot well? The replacement panel is significantly bigger than needed but I want to make sure I get it exactly in the right place.

On another topic I noticed that the rear outward face (ie next to torsion bar) of the offside chassis leg seems to have a deliberate half moon shaped cut leaving a 5-10mm gap between the chassis leg end and the crossmember, although the bottom and inward faces reach the crossmember. Is this normal? Easy enough to sort if not. The nearside chassis leg touches the crossmember on all 3 faces.
