Hi all I know it has been discussed before but how much does an A series engine weigh and also how much with the gearbox attached

948cc = 245lbs
1098 = 252lbs

gearbox roughly 44lbs

ASL642, what all does that weight include? Sump? Flywheel? Clutch assembly? Starter? Generator? Manifold(s)? etc.

With sump, but without flywheel, clutch and manifold. All details available in the workshop manual.

hmmm, thought it was pretty bloody heavy when i was lifting mine complete with oil, clutch, flywheel, head, manifold etc onto the workbench :P
