Hydraulic clutch slave cylinder.

Post by rogerowen »

I have recently acquired an 948 engine and gearbox (Austin), to fit into a series 2 to replace the original 803 units. I've just noticed that it has a hydraulic slave cylinder rather than rod operation. Anyone come across this before? Thinking I might be able to retro-fit back to mechanical?????[frame]Image[/frame]
That's strange R2, the damage doesn't look so bad from here!

Yes - just fit the mechanical fork from the old gearbox.

Yes, and fingers crossed, (and apart from a head off the engine and a good look around), plus mating up the 948 box with the back end of the 803 - in they pop.
