When I was looking at doing mine had a search on the forum about fitting it myself. After readin how hard it was i contacted a local restoration coy. I was quoted £400 to fit. Sod that I thought and had a go myself. All went well and it rearly isn't the big job everyone seemed to make. The biggest problem is keeping everything clean when you take the old one out. Go on give it a go

Do it when it's warm -- and if there's the slightest fraying or kinking in the tensioning wires, replace them!!! I've snapped two wires while tightening them, I think because they became kinked somehow. If you have no experience with upholstery, and you don't have a lot of confidence or patience, it's probably better to find a professional to do it for you. I will next time.
