high cut wings for s.II Minor

Post by JOWETTJAVELIN »

Anybody know if the higher cut rear wings are available for early Minors? Last used on the S.II.
I am preserving the originals fitted to the car but should they need replacing I would like to keep the car original looking, and in any case I think they are aesthetically more pleasing than the later wings.

I believe that you can still get Heritage Series MM/2 rear wings, otherwise reprofile a pair of M1000 wings using the old wings as patterns.

I have just bought a reprofiled wing for my series 2, I originally ordered it from Fairmile Restorations but after a few weeks and a lot of phone calls the order was cancelled by me as he was having a problem sourcing a wing to modify .So I then ordered mine from the Morris Centre Bristol , I chose a pattern wing which was modified including welding up the redundant rear light fixing holes it was supplied within a week, it fitted fine , the only difference with a genuine wing is the extra strip around the flange mounting is not there .You will have to produce the large hole to suit the rear light I used a suitable hole saw for this
