Venetian Blinds for rear window

Post by Simone Bailey »

Hi all :)

I am really keen on putting in some old school venetian blinds into my 1960 4 door's rear window. I have trawled the web and found a place in Oz that makes them. Anyone know of any other place or have ideas? I found a pic (not my car) on the net and just love the look! My rear window is bigger than this one though.[frame]Image[/frame]

Correction, the site is an American one : www.autovenetianblinds.com. I have mailed them, looks like they are the only guys doing this sort of thing?

Hi Carlos,

Have a look at the site I pasted above, looks like a great product, they also have a site on Facebook :)

I am from East London, on the coast, close to Port Elizabeth. My uncle mines Tantalite in Mozambique, but I have never been. Good to meet another 'African'.

Fantastic - love the look - should get some for the side windows too - then maybe add a vase of flowers on the windowsill :D

My Mog came with one of these. They didn't stay up very well, and while driving one day they fell down. I found them to be a nuisance when looking in the rear-view mirror, so I didn't bother putting them back up. Dunno where they are now.

Hi 'Fingolfin'

That's no good if it didn't stay up... The ones for sale in the states look very sturdy and clip under the window rubber so I don't think will fall down to easliy. I'm still smitten with the look, might just order them!

Oh, no, I didn't mean I thought you shouldn't do it -- it's your Minor, do what you want. I just thought I ought to share my experience, since it's incidentally relevant.
