bye-gone era

Post by MGA »

I enjoy reading the threads here every day.As i don't own a moggy i feel i should try to contribute to the forum in some way.

So i don't know if anyone has seen these but i find the scenes from the bye-gone era fascinating.

The first one is all about William Morris and the building of his empire.(not a Moggie in to be seen Sorry)

The second is very early testing on the Morris Minor. (Spot the boo boo at about 2.40sec in)

If these have been posted before my apologies if not hope you enjoy them

Fun to watch! I too spotted the booboo. When I got my first British car -- as a lad -- it was a Scotsman mechanic friend of the family who told me to attach a large magnet to the rear -- so as to catch the bits that fell off...

Thanks for that, MGA! Those old Pathe newsreels are great nostalgia-stuff, and the "proper spoken" commentary is all part of it for me!
