steering wheel / horn
making progress with my rebuild and have found / fitted the nut that holds the steering wheel on to the colum, went to fit the horn and realised there must be another part that fits on top of the steering wheel and houses the horn, dont know if I have this part or what it looks like or i it can be bought, does anybody have a diagram of this assembly or know where I can find assembly diagrams or even a picture of the part, Its the 3 spoke bango type. Regards, Steve

Re: steering wheel / horn
Pictures would help a lot, I suspect you have an early wheel and the later horn push.

Thanks for the reply MarkyB, you could be right, is the early horn button about twice the diameter of the later type?

It is and is held in with a screw, the later one pushes in with little metal catches, a bit like those that hold the draught excluders for the doors.

First, check out this thread (on this forum) http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=25119. That might help. You might try Googling "Morris Minor Horn" and -- once the results come up -- click on "Images" (left hand side of screen). This will give you pages of photos -- like the beautiful one below -- which might help you figure out what you're looking for (The source of this photo -- once I traced it back -- is Charles Ware's website at http://www.morrisminor.org.uk which is loaded with stunning photos of our favorite car):

The MOSS Europe web pages usually have the best diagrams http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewP ... exID=17107
