Removing an ignition barrel from its housing...
So, having removed the ignition unit from my 71 saloon I am stuck... how does the barrel come out of the unit?? Thanks!

There should be a wee brass pin on the side you push in and the barrellshould then come out.
Too many Minors so little time.....

The key needs to be in for the barrel to come out. There should be a hole in the bottom of the switch where you can push in a rivet stem or something to depress the brass pin. You may have to turn the key to see the pin, then the barrel pulls out with the key.
