Getting rid of those noisy rattles in the door..

Just been having a play around in the car after everyday I get an annoying rattle in the doors and it seemed pushing the doorcard slightly stopped it.
-Take the door cards off (undo 4 screws for door handle (2) & door catch & window winder) and pull the card with its clips
-Tighten the screws of the plate the window winder goes into - this was causing a bit of rattle on mine
-Where the bar from the door opening handle at the front of the door goes to the latch towards the rear of the door (rear of the car), that seemed to be slightly rattling at certain engine revs/vibrations against the inner part of the door. I bent that ever so slightly away from the door so it wasnt metal to metal and it seems to have cured it. Don't push or bend too much.

This is obviously a brief experience I have just had an its open to any further tips/comments but it will add to the list of rattles you might be able to find..

I find that the type of foam packing things come in these days is cracking stuff for stopping rattles.
It's not polystyrene, more like a closed cell foam plastic and has enough give in it to be squeezed into position while being springy enough to stay.

Surely that would just trap all the water that leeks inside the doors though...?

It shouldn't wear away the paint so I can't see that being an issue, also I use touch glass seals so very little water will get in the doors.

If fitting to a 4 door take your time and measure well before fitting them, I ended up with some small gaps at the ends.
You need to note where they will line up with the fittings, not just cut to length.
