Broken halfshaft

Hi

I have broken a halfshaft can i get the broken shaft piece out without removing the diff???

Bad luck. Ive never been able to fish the broken piece out of the diff without taking the diff out. Its not much of a job anyway and you need to make sure there are no bits of broken halfshaft floating around. Take the diff out and clean everything up.

As Staffs says - Diff out -it will need a good clean out anyway.

That makes sence as i dont want the bearings etc getting chewed up

It does happen to Minors. Broken halfshafts are far from unusual but are one of the easiest jobs to do.
