Blocked jet from some crud from old fuel?
Have you checked compression?
You have changed ignition bits, but have you checked the sparks?

A couple more thoughts:
Piston stuck in the carb - check that it is moving freely.
Have you tried completely fresh fuel?

First thing is to establish whether you have a good spark on all four and report back.

Take the air cleaner off an pour an egg cup of petrol down the carb.
If it goes brrrrmm when you then try and start it then it's a fuel problem.

If the plugs are getting wet it's a spark problem.

Have you moved the distributor?
Are the HT leads in the correct order, 1342 anti clockwise?

You left the sidelights on - no wonder it won't start..........

As above - try the petrol trick and report back. But can you explain better what happened the LAST time you had it out - a year ago. Did it suddenly stop and you just put it away without fixing it ? Can you see a spark at a plug if you take it out and lay it on the cylinder head and crank the engine??

Yeah, better to be systematic than hit-and-hope. The engine needs fuel, spark, compression and timing. Start eliminating those as problems until you narrow it down.

If it's a fuel problem it WILL start when you pour petrol down the carb - try it!
