How did you do the engine cutaway type view?

One picture open, one picture closed. Cut out the engine from the open picture with a soft edge and stick onto the closed picture. Less than 5 mins in any photo shop programme. Simples

Cheers for the idea of templating. I was thinking along those lines myself.
What is it they say? Slow and steady wins the race.
I wonder what the laws are on selling drawings of old/new timberwork...............?
I will take some pics of the dismantle, and the re-cutting etc, and post on the forum when under way.

Try this link for timber supplies
and if you visit your local timber merchant every chance he will have old stock laying about that he aint shifted in years
or know someone who has some its all about getting out into the market
i had the same problem with sheet metal
wow its some price on the bay
then a visit to the local blacksmiths i got an 8 x 4 sheet for 25 quid cut and delivered for that price plus some scrap he had laying about

I am quite lucky with sourcing the metal for my projects. See the following link: http://www.shop4metal.com/. That's my company. We are looking to start selling material exactly for this purpose on Ebay, as it's been a problem sourcing decent material in the past.

Hey Alexander, you may find in quite useful if you get yersell a little oxy acetylene set up. They are so much more flexible to use, not as quick as mig mind you but when you are chasing a bit of rust in a chunk of good metal there's nothing better. And don't bother with any books on how to weld just get a rusty old dog and get at it. Plus you have always the brazing option too, very useful. Have fun.

Yea ur right brazing is neat
but it aint cheap
i had a great we oxy set years ago for the vw i was repairing
and when i went to get it refilled wow what a price and here in the south west of scotland it was a rip off
by BOC for the two gasses

the rot cut out and there was a lot of it
really pleased with the progress so far
all the panels are fabricated by myself out of 1mm or the appropriate thickness steel sheets
this means it is a slower job but the cost savings are tremendous
the only parts i will buy are the rear chassis legs and these will be welded by a welder friend[frame][/frame]
