Breather pipe - on the side of the engine? This after a short run?? Better check that the breather connection pipe on the rocker cover is not blocked. Otherwise - is the engine losing water? When were the oil/filter last changed?

It is the breather on the side. Yes it was after a short run up in the garage. Engine was rebuilt about 5 years ago but it has never been run for more than a shoty time as the car has taken longer to rebuild than expected. I did notice this afternoon a little waster coming from the block drain tap (probably needs turning a bit more) Bit of white in the oul filler cap but oil on dip stick clean
