RIP Charles

Post by overider »

We at the MMOC Leeds Branch would like to take this opportunity to pass on our deepest sympathies to the family of Mr Charles Jones who sadly, passed away on Saturday 12th November 2011.
Charles was a kind, friendly and generous man with a wonderful sense of humour. He will be greatly missed within the Morris Minor Community. Many of us have very fond memories of Charles collecting the member signatures and manning the tombola stand at the West Yorkshire branch meetings and rallies.
Having the pleasure of knowing Charles was a great honour and is his passing has been felt deeply by us all.

Well said Charles was a pure gentleman and will leave a very big hole in the West Yorkshire branch, Charles had done so much to help and promote the mmoc over the years and raised so much money for charity and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
As a tribute to Charles the West Yorkshire branch members and friends will all be attending his funeral on Monday in their Morris Minors and following the corteige to the crematorium, all donations on the day will go to Kirkwood Hospice who were fantastic in charles's final days.

There were over 200 people at Charles's funeral and 12 morris minors I've never seen so many people at someones funeral just a testiment to what an amazing man he was.
At the crematorium they raised £732,00 for Kirkwood hospice which is fantastic. :D :D
