NEC Car Show Video for Britain in a Day

Post by Matt Tomkins »

Hi all,
Thought you might appreciate this...
My dad filmed our trip to the NEC and meet up with fellow mmocym members
he has submitted it to the 'Britain in a Day' project, so look out for clips from it on the BBC in the near future!

Mmm definitely a dashboard warning light at 1:12 I think. Great video - well done! Pulling out of the service area was very Italian Job (original). Esp the bit where the car pips one of the Minors. Could have been on a car park roof in Turin...

it's the 'lights on' warning -- above the high beam. The oil pressure/ignition lights are on the other side
and yes -- very italian job :p

It clearly wasn't causing you a problem - you were going well on the motorway :D. If it's still the original 1098 in your car it will probably be one of the late versions with the better crankcase breather. IMHO this was the best version of the 1098 and uber strong and reliable. My old late Traveller would keep up and pass many a modern car with no worries at all for hours on end.

Just needed a Morris van in the convoy so someone could say 'you're only supposed to blow the bl***y doors off' mind you, at those speeds on the motorway, I'm sure you blew a few vans and cars doors off anyway - great stuff
